Google Veo 3.1 and Kling V3: choosing a text-to-video route
Both routes below begin with a written scene description. This comparison helps you open the right workspace and review its inputs; it does not declare a quality winner.
Begin with the input type
Use a text-to-video route when the scene begins as a written description. If your brief starts with an existing image, choose an available image-to-video variant instead. The Veo collection also separates reference, first/last-frame and extension workflows. Do not assume that an option in one route exists in every route of that family.
Review the current settings
Open each listed workspace and compare the required inputs, supported duration, aspect ratio, audio options and other controls actually shown there. Some settings are specific to a variant. After sign-in, calculate the estimate for the same intended job before deciding whether to dispatch it.
Use a fair evaluation brief
If you later run your own comparison, keep the scene brief and intended placement consistent. Record the selected settings and review instruction following, motion continuity, subject consistency and usable audio where supported. Publish only results you have permission to share and disclose the conditions of the test.
Evidence and limits
The route names and text-to-video task were checked against WeBot’s registered public model catalogue on 25 October 2026. No new generations, timed tests or price benchmarks were performed for this article. A listing here is not an endorsement by a model developer.
